National AA - Trick Descriptions

Whirlwind Criss Cross
Both hands must start immediately with "legal" inside-outside criss cross loops. The first throw of each hand must be an inside loop and the yo-yos must start crossing on the first throw and stay crossed on all repetitions. The second throw with each hand must be an outside loop. Inside-outside combo counts as one repetition, count starts on the second outside loop.

Ride the Horse
Must start immediately with "legal" ride the horse. The preferred method is to start looping and then immediately start the legal hop the fence behind the foot on the side of the hops. Note that unlike last year, you may not start the hops in front of the foot and work them back behind the foot. Count is on hops after loops have started.

Sword an Shield
Start with a world and end after the fifth world. First loop must start during first world and looping must continue through the trajectory of each world. Must catch looping yo-yo before or at the same time as last world is caught. Must not continue looping after fifth world is caught. Count on worlds starts as the yo-yo passes the feet of the player for the second time.

Loop Transition to Vertical Punches
Each hand starts with at least 5 but no more than 7 inside loops followed by a punch into a retro half world transition up into vertical punches. The count on the loops and the vertical punches start with the second yo-yo.

Double Warp
Each hand does one full loop then a loop-regeneration into 2 worlds, followed by another full loop and a second loop-regeneration into 2 more worlds, followed by a single punch to one retro world with each hand. The hands may perform the trick elements either simultaneously or alternating. Note that each hand is doing exactly the same sequence of tricks.

Vertical Punches
This is the same trick that was previously erroneously called vertical loops. It is vertical punching bags above your head with each hand, while standing. This trick may start with one upward forward pass with each hand or start immediately with vertical punches.

Reach for the Moon
This is two hand reach for the moon. It is highly recommended that these done alternateing, however they may be done simultaneously. The reach for the moon count starts on the second outward toss of the second hand.

Up and Down Fountain
Each hand does at least 3 hop the fence below 45 degrees from the vertical, followed by at least 3 punching bags between 45-135 degrees from the vertical, followed by at least 3 vertical punches then punch back down to at least one hop the fence below 45 degrees from the vertical. There will be no prescribed number of punches on way down to the final hop the fence. Count starts on second hand.

Cow Jump Over Moon
Count starts with first complete reach for the moon after hop the fence has commenced. The most efficient way to do this trick is to start hop the fence with one yo-yo and then start your reach for the moon yo-yo. The first reach for the moon is complete after the second outward toss.

Staircase
Start with milk the cow to side and work up to vertical punches. Player rotates 360 degrees ending with 3 full vertical punches after both feet are planted. Starts facing forward, and ends up facing forward. The yo-yo trajectories must be near horizontal at 180 degrees and fully vertical at 360 degrees.
