Every year the top players in the nation wind up in Chico!

The best players in the U.S. come to Chico the first Saturday in October to compete in the annual National YoYo Contest.

As the premier U.S. YoYo event, it attracts the best active players, avid collectors, and serious enthusiasts in America.

The contest is open to residents of the U.S. of all ages and levels of play. There is no cost to enter the contest or the park.

The National 1A and 2A divisions require players to compete in a rigorous compulsory round advancing to the exciting and entertaining freestyle final.

The respected National Yo-Yo Masters serve as judges for the top divisions.

The trick ladder National Sport division is held for those who want to test their skill. This exciting division is fun for everyone in the family and has many tricks we all remember.

Friday Evening 6pm - 9pm there are activities to get acquainted with other attendees at the contest stage in the Park.

Saturday Contest registration starts at 9am, compulsory testing for all divisions starts at 10am and concludes at 12noon. Final freestyles in 1A and 2A begin at 1pm.

The Saturday Collector Fair is where you can buy and trade old and unique YoYos under a large canopy in the Park. Call in advance for booth space - 530-893-0545 ext. 24

The Saturday Evening Banquet is a time to gather after the contest to recognize contest winners and present honorary awards. Dinner at 7:00pm and Manzanita Hall, 1705 Manzanita Ave. Cost is $15 in advance, $20 day of contest - reservations are strongly encouraged. No refunds. To purchase dinner tickets call 530-893-0545 ext. 24. Have your credit card available.

Chico is one and one-half hours north of Sacramento; three hours northeast of San Francisco; and three hours northwest of Reno, NV.
