Sport LadderFor 2003, the Sport Division will require both sleeping and looping tricks. The players will work their way up a 25 trick sleeping ladder and a 25 trick looping ladder with one miss forgiven in each. The players score will be the total of his or her score from each ladder.
Successful completion of the tricks will be judged on the criteria from the General Rules. Binds will be allowed in the String Trick ladder to return the yo-yo.
The Sport Division is open to any player not competing in any Championship Division. The final score will be the sum total of both the String Trick Ladder (1S) and Looping Trick Ladder (2S) which will qualify for the 'Best All Around' award. Read the following trick descriptions carefully. All tricks are to be performed as described in the text and accompanying video (if available). Flipovers or string misses will not be allowed in the 1S - String Trick Ladder. However, binds will be allowed to return the yo-yo. Significant loss of control of either yo-yo will not be allowed in the 2S - Looping Trick Ladder. A player may choose to change yo-yo's after completion of the 15th trick in the 1S ladder as well as choosing a different pair of yo-yo's for the 2S ladder. This contest is a ladder format: one attempt per trick, one miss allowed, second miss in a ladder retires the player from that ladder. Score in each ladder is the number of the last trick successfully completed in combination with the first trick missed. |
